I was diagnosed with gastritis and chronic nausea. My doctor told me to go to a psychiatrist as he said it might be because of a mental illness such as anxiety that''s aggravating the nausea and gastritis. Ever since i started Amitriptyline 10 mg it has helped a lot. I suggest starting at a low dose to see how you react to it, but it does help for me. Alprazolam did wonders for me with amitriptyline for the nausea and gastritis. Mind that I suggest you to check with your doctor before you start amitriptyline, but if your doctor prescribed you amitriptyline, I suggest to give it a shot. It has helped me a lot. Good luck!
What were your symptoms of gastritis? For me I don’t have Gerd but stomach burns and indigestion.
