My question: Is it OK to use Ambien 2.5mg on 17 hour flight? I will be traveling in business class and the seat folds out to a bed. Will this avoid the possibility of DVT (deep vein thrombosis)? I use Ambien as needed (2.5mg) at home with no side effects at all.

I took 20mg of Ambien on a 16 hour flight. I actually took one initially and slept for about 9 hours stayed awake for an hour and then took half the 2nd pill so technically I used 15mg and was out till the guy next to me woke me up because we were landing. I felt great and energetic right off the plane, all the sleep?
