A friend says her new doctor is prescribing 10 Mg xanax tabs. I am concerned because I thought it (and generics) are made in 2 or 3 mg at most. Am I wrong?

Xanex is 3 mg. I got to thinking about it... sorry!!!
alprazolam comes in 0.25mg. 0.5mg 1mg and 2mg. alprazolam xr comes in 1mg. 2mg and 3mg. they dont make them any stronger than that.
No, it doesn't come in 10 mg tabs. Most likely someone wrote down the true amt, incorrectly, as 1.0 mg, on the label. Docs do this allot, and it drives us nurses crazy because it is so easy to make a mistake.
