please call 877-782-6966 and report your bad strips! They said they have not had enough reports on lot M10GW103 to fix the problem. If you're getting bad strips, check the back of the strip package for the lot number. Chances are, it's this same number. Even if it's a different lot, it needs to be reported. We pay too much to get bad quality strips. So, if you do please report it so they will improve the quality of this expensive medication. Oh, and please do not let your pharmacist try to tell you the cracks are perforations made for breaking and they're supposed to be that way. And that they're supposed to fall apart... because they,re not!

Thanks for telling us i got one that was already torn what does that mean i mean the strip was torn
I hate the films I tried them when they 1st came out. Now my doctor is making me switch to them. And will not listen when I say they dont help.
Omg.. So I'm not crazy?? I been on subs for 2 years, recently got switched from tabs to film. My film when I opened it was cut quarter of the film, the whole entire box was like that.. It happened twice now.. I thought I was crazy.. I noticed the film was not lasting like it should, I felt like I didn't take my dose. This company needs to fix this problem it's bad enough they took me off the tabs..
I've been on subs for four years and never ever ever ever I had a strip that crumbled or cracked or anything you guys are saying.
You are one of the lucky ones
I am having the same problems and I called yesterday. they said they were aware of the problem and are currently working on it. she took my info and said i could take it to the pharmacy and get them replaced with no problems. she took note of the the lot # and expiration date. she said i could go ahead and open all the films and take the brittle ones back to the pharmacy. she then asked me which pharmacy i used. excellent customer service!
Well that is good to hear, thanks Benny. Thanks alot.
Your comments are very helpful,I am experiencing the same problem. My 8mg films I picked up from the pharmacy lot#E11GW104 are all cracked and dry. After taking one of these you almost feel like you didn't take your dose. The same thing happened to me last month.Iwill place a call the the manufacture, they need to get this problem solved once and for all.It puts a burdon on us simply because the suboxone films are not effective. Just about all of my last prescription were cracked and crumbling and that Lot# is G11GW104 and I just picked up my new prescription a couple days ago and the very first one I took out looked like it was gonna be intact when I first took it out of the pack but then when I looked closer it was cracked in 3 places in the middle. The Lot# for the ones I just picked up is J11GW102 . I have been opening films that were cracked all up or just plain crumbling for about the last 4 months, I switched over to films (advised by my doctor) about 9 months ago but before that was on the tablets for 2 years and now I'm kinda wishing I would have stayed on the tablets. I got to thinking about this today and started wondering if other people had the same problem or if it was just me taking them home and them being in a different temp or something and then as soon as I googled it I got an immediate answer from this website very good informative comments by the way.
The more I read the more I'm starting to see this is a huge problem. I never even thought about calling the pharm. company to try and get them exchanged, that's a really great idea and I will definitely give it a try thanks for all the good info. Thanks guys
i went through three more boxes of the films and they were all brittle also! i checked the lot #'s and they were all different. i went back to my doctor and had him switch me back to the tablets and i am much happier now! i think we all need to unite and switch back to tabs in order to send a message! i will switch back to the films once they get the formula right. i do miss the speedy dissolving time with the films but i will stick with the tablets in the meantime!
My sub film strips have been like this for over 6 months now, every time i get them. I told the pharmacy, they, of course, thought I was trying to scam them, told my doctor, he said just deal with it, all goes to the same place anyway. I say it is a very big pain in the but, I have been dealing with it, but it would be nice if they didn't crumble into pieces when I opened package!
just switch over to the generic. its called buprenorphine, and, in my opinion, it tastes alot better while melting under your tongue.its also one/third of the price. if u would like to talk ,feel free. ive been on subs<buprenorphine> for almost a year, so maybe i could give you some pointers. then again , you might be way more experienced with this whole thing than i am,ttyl. mike.
I just had a lengthy conversation over the phone with a Reckitt Benckiser rep, and I would encourage you all to call them as well. She told me that they get complaints of cracked and crumbling films regularly and they are trying to identify the problem at the manufacturing level. She also acknowledged that when a Suboxone film strip is cracked, the chemistry of the embedded buprenorphine/naloxone mixture is compromised... Meaning that if you open a packet and have a film that sticks to the inside of the packet, is cracked, or is rigid and crumbly, the chemical composition of the film has also been altered.
We need to keep track of the lot numbers printed on the packet if it contains a defective film. I just got 90 films (8mg/2mg) and ALL of them are cracked in half.
LOT C11GW105
EXP 08/2012
Over the past few months I have received these defective films from both CVS and Wal-Mart pharmacies. The Reckitt representative told me to take the defective units back to the pharmacy and they would replace them with new ones, which I promptly did, only to find the NEW ONES were all cracked in pieces as well! Unfortunately I did not write down the lot number of the previous defective films I have received.
Since I do not have medical insurance nor do I qualify for their assistance program, I am paying around $700 per month for this defective product, and I can feel the difference. The cracked films always make me feel nauseated and they make me sweat like crazy. The normal films never did this.
We really need to pull together here and please post the lot number on the packet here to this forum if you open a Suboxone film and find it to be rigid, cracked, in pieces, or firmly stuck to the inside of the packet.
I am more concerned about the chemistry of the medication being defective than the physical integrity of the film itself! I am taking this issue very seriously because my sobriety and health are a matter of life and death, I am thankful for Suboxone, never had to deal with this when it was in tablet form, and this medication is just waaaayyyy too expensive to accept anything less than a chemically pure and consistently stable product!
Sincerely,
A concerned Suboxone patient
It seems like the strips are getting over heated during the manufacturing process, causing them to be weak and brittle. I think if they would check their equipment and pay attention to the temps they may find the problem. I could be wrong, but it would be worth looking into.
Just picked up the new strips. They gave me a different lot. Opened one up to check it out, and they look good. I sure hope my pharmacist learned more about them when he talked to the company. Perforations and they're supposed to fall apart... LOL.
never took the strips just pills didn't even know there were strips
Yeah... Suboxone Film. I had me doc start me out on it because of the 75 dollar off coupon they had back then. Now, it's only 45 dollars off and they haven't even let me use it yet because i used the 75 coupon too much in the beginning. I don't know when they will start letting me use it again, but I hope it will be this month. If they don't, I may go to the pills just to spite them, cause they want everyone on the strips due to the patent running out on the pills before too long. Oh. And for anybody else that may read this. I got my exchange on my bad strips. I just hope they're not from the same batch as the last ones. I went through too much worry for them to be just as bad. But we'll see when i pick them up. I'm just glad my pharmacist took the time out to get it done. The drug co. Said the pharmacy doesn't have to. And if they won't there's nothing the drug company can do about it.
R the strips more effective?
I have no idea. I've never taken the pills
All lots are bad, my current lot # is E11GW106, again this has been going on for 6+ months, all lots, every pkg I open, every day, crumbles to 2-4 pieces.
