... the second third forth day I don't feel anything from it. How can I have a high tolerance already? I know it's wrong but I started taking about 4 or 5 and now that's not working, my doc prescribed me Adderall ir 15 msg as an afternoon booster, this works the first day I get them but after that I don't feel anything. I started taking 10 of those to feel anything, I know this is wrong, please no judgement, I just want to make the Adderall work in my prescribed dosage. I have no side effects from this just the first day I have energy, I'm talkative, I actually have motivation to do things again. I have treatment resistance depression, ADHD that has just been diagnosed recently. I've tried Ritalin, and Vyvanse and they didn't do anything for me. I know that's a high dose that I take but my heart doesn't even race, I just feel normal. How do I make the Adderall work where I don't have to take that much, and my prescription can last more then 3 days
I've been on Adderall xr 30mg a day for about 2 months now. Some days it would work perfectly then..

I am not a physician, but have 27 yrs working with & collaborating with them. The following is supplement info only that may/may not assist in your medications working optimally but THIS HAS WORKED FOR ME I’m gonna use the scenario of driving a car with no gas if you get in the car and you start it up and then you push on the pedal it releases the gas into the engine and that’s what makes it move depending on how much you have is how far you can drive now apply that to every medication that either produces something or releases something in your body etc.
My first experience that i swear by is for DEPRESSION - SEROTONIN is the gas for opposing depression so happiness & L-TRYPYOPHAN at night is thought to help your body produce more serotonin. If you take an anti-depression med it usually pushes serotonin out so you feel it. So you can imagine if there is no serotonin in your brain then the med opens the door but nothing comes out. For me I produced almost none so I took 2000mg no rx at night & if I miss it I cry for no reason HUGE difference to me. So I believe for the ADHD meds to work you must also have it’s so called unique gas that is why L-Tyrosine is so popular-it is the preccursor to dopamine(gas for ADHD) of course food plays a huge part but I hope it at least helps to not waste your prescription or end up with too much in you then rebounding and it all work at once just try to find the right gas to support your medications! Good luck!
Hi! It sounds like you already know you shouldn't be doing this so I won't talk too much about that side of it lol but I definitely urge you to try and stop using that high of a dose until you figure out a better option, because you won't be able to get a supply of this much adderall from any sane prescriber, so you are setting yourself up for failure in the future by using that much right now.
I am very surprised that you are able to function on the dosing you describe, since these are astronomical doses. Adderall is metabolized by an enzyme known as CYP2D6, which is an enzyme known to have some polymorphism (meaning it's different from person to person), so one person might have very strong metabolism of adderall, and others might have weak/none metabolism. I wonder if you are a CYP2D6 Ultra-rapid metabolizer and that's why you aren't getting a lot of effect from it. This can also be caused by drug interactions so you can maybe use a drug interaction checker to see if anything is causing you to metabolize it faster. You should continue to switch between medications until you find something that works. Again, using that high of a dose is helping you now but will hurt you in the long-term and will likely make your symptoms worse with time
