I tested positive for meth. I do not use meth - the Adderall does it's job just fine. I was told to list it when I took the test. The review doctor said it won't show up. Can someone help me please.
Yes, it will show up as amphetamine. I'm not sure why it showed up as meth.?But, I know that a general drug test will give you a positive result for amphetamine. That Dr. was dead wrong.Hope this helps.
I've been taking adderall for 3 years and every drugscreen i have took it has showed up for amphetimines just like if you were doing meth... the generic name for adderall is amphetamine-salts
Talk to your doctor and ask for a retest and explain to him that you have never taken meth in your life. Drug tests have false positives all of the time and are not 100% accurate. I have tested positive for pcp before and I have never taken anything similar to that in my life
Vitamin c helps rid the body of amphetamines up to 3x as fast I would drink a glass of orange juice or 2 before you take it again just to clear up the confusion. Sorry that happened to you bro

Adderall is a form of speed, it does not show up as meth in drug test it is an amphetamine which is on the test only way it will show as meth is if you take it in excess you know take more then prescribed. I know cuz I was on parole and am on addies it will only show up as an amphetamine.
I don't think your Doctor meant verbatim, "it won't show up". I believe what he meant was it won't show up as "drug use" vs. prescription medication. Commonly what happens is when you take the screening you need to specify what medications, if any, you are currently taking. Some places ask you to provide actual proof of the prescription to ensure it's actually prescribed to you in a detail prescribed label and some don't need you to. When you take the screening a dip chemical indicator will, in fact, show positive for Amphetamine, Methamphetamine, and possibly even additional PCP. However, because you have released the information of what prescriptions you are currently taking, they will send it out to a lab with an MRO (Medical Review Officer). This person screens the chemicals that are detected in your urine and can tell if it's from a prescription or if it's actual drug use.
I've never had any issues of a "False Positive" that indicated I was taking anything but my prescription. If you have only been taking your prescription and prescribed by a legit Physician, you shouldn't have any issues, hang-ups or stall for your results.
The screen should show amphetamine, cause that is the type of drug that it is. Anything else would be a false positive, which there are many medications that can interact, causing a false positive, including some over the counter allergy medications. I have taken over the counter allergy medication that made me have a meth-amphetamine false positive, but this can be cleared up by sending it to a lab, instead of the atick test they sometimes do at offices
