My doc put me on metoprol and told me to take a half at mornings and a half at night. I was having PVC's, he did a halter monitor. I have COPD and it seems to make my breathing more labored.
Why was my 25mg of metoprol split in half, with one half at morning and one half at night?

I also take 25mg metoprol, but one pill only in the a.m. Have not noticed a change in breathing and have been taking it for several years. My COPD has gotten worse, but don't think it's from the metoprol. What is PVC? This is a condition I haven't heard of.
PVC's caused from an irregular heart beat. Like a motor in a car that doesn't run well. May also be caused by anxiety. But it seems you can't take antidepressants with metoprol. Do you know if this is true?
