Have been on Flecainide 50 twice a day for about a month (am also taking Bisopranol , Warfarin and Bp med). Have had two attacks of AF and flutter
in the last six month as well as having PVC's and 'palpitations' for many years.
Was put on Sotalol at first but it made my heatbeat worse, The Flecainide is working well but seems to be making me very agitated and have difficulty in sleeping. Am very frightened of taking these drugs - any reassurrance would be appreciated. I am a 67 year old female. Thanks
Can Flecainide cause exteme anxiety?

Read recently on internet that Flecainide isn't good for A Flutter. I took it for 15 years but now I don't because I had atrial flutter ablation. Your problems appear to be similar to mine. I 'll not
tell you about myself til you ask me to. I have been doing quite a lot of researching on the computer. Flecainide has many, many side effects. Yes, it made me very nervous etc.
When was your last doctor visit? If you have not talked with the cardiologist recently, give their office a call. My husband has been through these and is being treated for Afib. People with anxiety have a higher incidence for Afib. Take your medicine as prescribed. Double check with the doctors office. Ablation is another treatment but you haave very little Afib going on. If it were consistently daily, then you can look at other treatment. Just remember that anxiety feels like an increased heart rate which pounds in the chest the more agitated we get. If something makes one anxious it is very hard to separate the Afib from regular anxiety. Once your doctor helps with this you will understand better your own situation. So something like a very low dose of Xanax might help take the anxious feeling away. Next time this happens check your pulse. Is the beat steady, jumps fast and slow, or very fast. Each condition has a different meaning. Let us know what the doc says. :-)
PVC means nothing. It is harmless and everyone gets them. Especially if ill or feverish. The rest you listed as conditions seem to be guesses as they are quite different from each other. Time for you to become your own advocate and learn as much as you can from medical sites, not chat rooms, to understand your conditions. It will make you feel better and help you get more meaning from the doctor. I think you will be fine. People can have Afib for decades. Stay strong. And ask questions here especially if you want to talk about your experiences.
