I would tell your dr this helps your pain. If he orders the prescription strength, you'll be getting more per tab and if you have insurance, it would pay for it.

If you are taking them OTC then you should take 2 tabs every 8 hours. You should not exceed 6 tablets a day and for no more than 10 days without the advice of your Dr. If you want to take them 2 tabs every 4 hours then you need to clear it with your Dr first.
