I am a 59 year old male and have been taking .7cc testosterone cypionate injections every two weeks for 2 years now. From what I have read and heard the test. cyp. does decrease in effectiveness over the two weeks. It has a half life of 8 days. When I go in to get my blood work done it is always 1 week after I take an injection. I have not heard of weekly injections. I think that having your blood work done half way in between injections to actually see what your level is would be best. That way you know if you are getting enough of a dosage to begin with. Hope this helps.
You know, there is a reason the manufacturer recommends a specific way of dosing and they really don't encourage inventive ways of self dosing. Use it the way the doc prescribed it.
But let's think about it in a different angle... manufacturers' recommend certain way because that they avoid litigation it's not because it's the most effective way to deliver a medication. For instance, some doctors believe that testosterone is better delivered subcutaneously rather than IM but they have to write it as IM and they tell their patients to shoot it subcutaneously.
