Inderal (propranolol) for Performance Anxiety: Started having panic attacks with anxiety about 6 months ago. Started taking Inderal 20 mg - once in the morning. Noticed significant improvement the first day. This drug has been awesome for me! Was also given Xanax at the same time but I only feel I need it occasionally.

Inderal (propranolol) for Migraine Prevention: My neurologist had me try many different medications for migraines including Amitriptyline, Topamax and Cymbalta. I was not comfortable with taking medications that are meant to help individuals with seizure disorders and depression. In addition, these medications did not stop the migraines and I experienced many side effects including nausea and decreased appetite. Then I tried Inderal, a low dose medication used to lower blood pressure, paired with B2. My migraines are now fewer and less severe. I still keep Imitrex with me wherever I go to tackle a migraine but I have found that Inderal was the most successful medication that I have tried. Just be sure to take it as recommended. I hope that it helps other migraine sufferers.

Inderal (propranolol) for Migraine Prevention: This drug changed my life. Before Inderal I had headaches of some degree almost daily. Severe migraines 3-4 times monthly. I have been on a daily dosage of 2 capsules of 160 mg for about 4 years. No more migraines. I never had any side effects. It has truly given me my life back. My doctor started me on a lesser dosage initially, always monitoring blood pressure, any side effects, number/severity of headaches while gradually finding correct dosage that worked for me.

Inderal (propranolol) for Migraine Prevention: After suffering with migraines 30 years, Inderol gave me a pain-free life! It was the best I've ever felt! However, after several wonderful months, I began to get so dehydrated that it caused intense migraines and E.R. visits for re-hydration. Had to stop taking it because of dehydration side effect. Beware of dehydration while taking this drug.

Inderal (propranolol) for Benign Essential Tremor: I had struggled with Benign Essential Tremor for about 7 years (post-trauma), with shaky hands, stuttered speech, etc. For years I was given Valium or Xanax to treat it. In an effort to make a career change, I asked my doctor to find a non-narcotic solution. In short, after seeing a neurologist I was prescribed propranolol and I'm free of almost all symptoms with less side effects and the negative stigma of being prescribed a benzo.

Inderal (propranolol) for Migraine Prevention: This medicine has helped my migraines significantly. I had been having 4-5 migraine attacks per week and now am down to 1 or 2 every few weeks. Some weeks I don't have any. A huge relief. I had migraines for years. Missed work, severe pain and this medicine is a huge relief. I do feel tired and sluggish and may be related to this medicine but I don't know for sure. I will take that side effect over the pain of a migraine any day.

Inderal (propranolol) for Benign Essential Tremor: It worked great in the beginning, but within a few months lost its effectiveness, and I needed more and more to get the same effect. I also felt like I was addicted to it. It was the first thing I went for in the morning.

Inderal (propranolol) for Performance Anxiety: I have had anxiety a lot since high school and it has gotten worse in college. I have taken many different medicines for anxiety and this is by far the best fit for me. I didn't like how I had to take the other medicines everyday whether or not I felt anxious- this one was great for me because my doctor told me I could take it whenever I felt a little more anxiety than normal. I will take it in the morning if I wake up anxious and I have never had an anxiety attack or feelings of being anxious yet. I would highly suggest talking to your doctor about this medicine if anxiety is the issue.

Inderal (propranolol) for Performance Anxiety: I have struggled with public speaking my entire life. This is truly a miracle medicine for me. I like the fact that I do not have to take it everyday...only for specific events which are typically scheduled in advance. I would still prefer no medication but have been very happy with the results from Inderal.

Inderal (propranolol) for Migraine Prevention: I have taken Inderal now for a few months. I have noticed that my migraines are down to 2-4 a month. I was 5-6 a week. I was using the max dosage of Imitrex and still not getting any relief. Don't get me wrong. I love my Imitrex and can't live without it. Inderal has improved a lot of my headaches. At first I hated Inderal because I hated the idea of feeling slow and tired all the time. Now if I forget to take it my coworkers notice immediately! I get very agitated and nauseous when I have a headache to begin with and I slur my words. I want candies loaded with dyes and I get a manic-like hyperactive speech. I feel better now than I did in May. I still feel the migraines I don't feel their attacks.

Inderal (propranolol) for Benign Essential Tremor: My doctor had me on a regular dose of Inderal, and Valium as a back up if needed. This was working fine. When I went in for my annual visit and said everything was as usual, no better but no worse, she changed me to primidone. I am on my 3rd month of this and feel like a basketcase. Vertigo, stomach problems, vision problems, memory problems.

Inderal (propranolol) for Migraine Prevention: I have had classic migraines for 25 years. For the last 15 I have been using Inderal as a preventative. For the first 10 years it reduced the number and severity of my migraines significantly from 1 or 2, 2 day long attacks to a cluster once or twice a year. Over the last few years more frequent migraine like headaches have been developing as often as 3 or 4 a fortnight (without aura or vomiting) leading me to seek new prevention options. However, I'm fearful of discontinuing Propranolol incase the more severe classic migraines return and disrupt my work even more than the headaches do. I think every migraine sufferer who can use it should give Inderal a go. I haven't had any problems with side effects in all these years.

Inderal (propranolol) for High Blood Pressure: I have taken Inderal and Inderal LA for the past 30 years with very few side effects. It helps both my arrhythmia and my high blood pressure. I felt slightly weaker and more tired in the beginning, but now I just feel normal. I have been able to live a relatively normal life and have always been able to do whatever physical activity I needed to do.

Inderal (propranolol) for High Blood Pressure: Lowered blood pressure but, caused severe hair loss (I saw clumps of hair in drain after every shower) and depression! I have since learned that this 'side effect' is known as 'beta-blocker blues'. However, my M.D. switched me to Tenormin (another beta-blocker) which did NOT have these side effects.

Inderal (propranolol) for Migraine Prevention: Inderal was a miracle medicine for me. It prevented migraines with common triggers. The only migraines it was unable to prevent were those triggered by bad weather and hormones.

Inderal (propranolol) for High Blood Pressure: I'm a 55 year old male and have been on Inderal since I was in my late 20's. This medicine was perfect for me with little side effects. Some light-headedness at times, nausea was probably the worst side-effect. Inderal has become expensive over the years and sometimes hard to find. After insurance company changes forced me to try other blood pressure drugs, I ended up back on Inderal. Now it seems it is not as effective as it was before. No one (Doctor, Cardiologist, etc.) seems to know why. Increase in palpitations, blood pressure rising, side effects have become worse, etc. Doctor put me on Bystolic. We'll see how it goes. LESSON: If a medicine works for you and you've been on it a long time, STAY ON IT. Don't let the insurance companies play with your health!

Inderal (propranolol) for High Blood Pressure: Inderal works well with hardly any side effects. One good side effect is that it stops severe headaches if you happen to have those with your high blood pressure.

Inderal (propranolol) for Benign Essential Tremor: Propranolol has given me the best tremor control with the least amount of side effects. I tried 4 other medications before my new neurologist suggested this. It's changed my life. No need to increase after 6 months. Some orthostatic hypotension has been an problem, but it seems to be due to mixing this with other medications required for my other health issues.

Inderal (propranolol) for Migraine Prevention: Inderal has definitely helped with my migraine prevention. I started getting migraines when I was 13. Now late 20s I am finally migraine free besides the odd one I get due to hormones or when really stressed out! I reduced to taking 40mg in the morning rather than 40mg morning and night and have found the migraines still stay away. The only side effects I've had was nightmares initially, that soon went after a couple months. I get very cold hands and feet, sometimes in warm weather my feet are still cold! I also feel slightly more tired/sleepy but its worth it compared to the regular migraines I was experiencing beforehand.
