Chikungunya Vaccine, Recombinant (cvx 329) Side Effects

Important warnings This medicine can cause some serious health issues

Use only as directed.

Tell your doctor if you use other medicines or have other medical conditions or allergies.

Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction: hives, difficult breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.

Some side effects may occur after the injection. Tell your vaccination provider if you feel dizzy, nauseated, light-headed, itchy, sweaty, or have a headache, chest tightness, back pain, trouble breathing, or swelling in your face.

Common side effects may include:

• pain, redness, swelling, or tenderness where the vaccine was injected;

• headache, weakness, tiredness; or

• muscle pain.

General adverse events

• Uncommon (0.1% to 1%): Severe nausea

• Rare (0.01% to 0.1%): Severe injection site pain

Musculoskeletal

• Very common (10% or more): Myalgia/muscle pain (up to 17.6%)

• Uncommon (0.1% to 1%): Severe myalgia/muscle pain, severe arthralgia/joint pain

Nervous system

• Very common (10% or more): Headache (up to 18%)
• Uncommon (0.1% to 1%): Severe headache

Other

• Very common (10% or more): Fatigue (up to 19.9%)
• Common (1% to 10%): Chills
• Uncommon (0.1% to 1%): Severe fatigue, fever at least 38C (100.4F), fever at least 39C (102.1F)
• Rare (0.01% to 0.1%): Severe chills
