Interactions between your drugs
folic acid capecitabine
Applies to: cyanocobalamin / folic acid / pyridoxine / strontium gluconate, capecitabine
Products containing folic acid may increase the effects of capecitabine. You may be more likely to develop serious side effects such as anemia, bleeding problems, infections, and nerve damage when these medications are used together. Contact your doctor if you experience severe nausea and vomiting, diarrhea, paleness of skin, fatigue, dizziness, fainting, unusual bleeding or bruising, blood in the stools, fever, chills, body aches, flu-like symptoms, skin reactions, mouth ulcers or sores, and/or numbness, burning or tingling in your hands and feet. You may need a dose adjustment or more frequent monitoring by your doctor to safely use both medications. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
Drug and food interactions
folic acid food
Applies to: cyanocobalamin / folic acid / pyridoxine / strontium gluconate
Talk to your doctor before using alcohol together with folic acid. Excessive consumption of alcohol may reduce the absorption and increase the elimination of folic acid. Contact your doctor if your symptoms worsen or your condition changes. Talk to your doctor if you have any questions or concerns. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
strontium gluconate food
Applies to: cyanocobalamin / folic acid / pyridoxine / strontium gluconate
Strontium gluconate should be taken on an empty stomach 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal and preferably at bedtime unless otherwise directed by your doctor. You may experience reduced absorption of strontium gluconate in the presence of food or milk. This will make it easier for your body to absorb the medication.
