Drug Interaction Report
5 potential interactions and/or warnings found for the following 2 drugs:
- palopegteriparatide
- Vaseretic (enalapril / hydrochlorothiazide)
Interactions between your drugs
enalapril hydroCHLOROthiazide
Applies to: Vaseretic (enalapril / hydrochlorothiazide), Vaseretic (enalapril / hydrochlorothiazide)
Although enalapril and hydroCHLOROthiazide are frequently combined together, their effects may be additive on lowering your blood pressure. You may need a dose adjustment or special tests to safely take both medications. Contact your doctor if you have a reduced heart rate, dizziness, fainting, or headaches. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
hydroCHLOROthiazide palopegteriparatide
Applies to: Vaseretic (enalapril / hydrochlorothiazide), palopegteriparatide
HydroCHLOROthiazide may alter the effects of palopegteriparatide in regulating the amount of calcium in your blood. You may need extra monitoring to safely use both drugs. Talk to your doctor if you have any questions or concerns. Contact your doctor promptly if your condition changes or you develop symptoms of high levels of calcium in the blood (hypercalcemia) such as nausea, vomiting, constipation, lethargy, or muscle weakness. Likewise, contact your doctor as soon as possible if you develop symptoms of low levels of calcium in the blood (hypocalcemia) such as numbness or tingling around your mouth, muscle cramps, uncontrolled muscle movements, irritability, depression, irregular heartbeats, or confusion. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
Drug and food interactions
enalapril food
Applies to: Vaseretic (enalapril / hydrochlorothiazide)
It is recommended that if you are taking enalapril you should be advised to avoid moderately high or high potassium dietary intake. This can cause high levels of potassium in your blood. Do not use salt substitutes or potassium supplements while taking enalapril, unless your doctor has told you to.
enalapril food
Applies to: Vaseretic (enalapril / hydrochlorothiazide)
Enalapril and ethanol (alcohol) may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate. These side effects are most likely to be seen at the beginning of treatment, following a dose increase, or when treatment is restarted after an interruption. Let your doctor know if you develop these symptoms and they do not go away after a few days or they become troublesome. Avoid driving or operating hazardous machinery until you know how the medications affect you, and use caution when getting up from a sitting or lying position. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.

Drug Interaction Classification
Highly clinically significant. Avoid combinations; the risk of the interaction outweighs the benefit.
Moderately clinically significant. Usually avoid combinations; use it only under special circumstances.
