Telotristat ethyl may reduce the blood levels of nirogacestat, which may make the medication less effective in treating your condition. Talk to your doctor if you have any questions or concerns. Your doctor may be able to prescribe alternatives that do not interact, or you may need a dose adjustment or more frequent monitoring to safely use both medications. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.

Do not consume grapefruit, grapefruit juice, Seville oranges, or starfruit during treatment with nirogacestat. Doing so can significantly increase the blood levels of nirogacestat and increase the risk and/or severity of side effects such as diarrhea, liver problems, new non-melanoma skin cancers, electrolyte disturbances, and in women who can become pregnant, ovarian problems. Talk to your doctor if you have any questions or concerns. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.

Food increases the absorption of telotristat ethyl. To ensure adequate blood levels of the medication, telotristat ethyl should be administered with food or a meal.
