The medication in calcipotriene topical is absorbed through the skin into the bloodstream and may cause interactions with other medications. Using calcipotriene topical together with calcium saccharate may occasionally cause your blood calcium levels to become too high. You may need a dose adjustment or more frequent monitoring by your doctor to safely use both medications. Contact your doctor if you experience signs and symptoms that may suggest excessive blood calcium levels such as dizziness, weakness, lethargy, muscle pain, headache, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, and seizures. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
