2 potential interactions and/or warnings found for the following 2 drugs:
- bromfenac / prednisolone ophthalmic
- flucytosine
Interactions between your drugs
flucytosine bromfenac
Applies to: flucytosine, bromfenac / prednisolone ophthalmic
Bromfenac can affect kidney function and may increase the blood levels and effects of flucytosine when used together. You may be more likely to develop serious side effects such as anemia, bleeding problems, and infections. Contact your doctor if you experience potential signs and symptoms of these conditions such as paleness of skin, fatigue, dizziness, fainting, unusual bleeding or bruising, fever, chills, sore throat, body aches, or other flu-like symptoms. You may need a dose adjustment or more frequent monitoring by your doctor to safely use both medications. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
Drug and food interactions
bromfenac food
Applies to: bromfenac / prednisolone ophthalmic
Food significantly decreases the levels of bromfenac. Avoid eating a high-fat meal. Take bromfenac on an empty stomach at least 30 minutes before or 2 hours after a meal. This will make it easier for your body to absorb the medication.
Therapeutic duplication warnings
No duplication warnings were found for your selected drugs.
Therapeutic duplication warnings are only returned when drugs within the same group exceed the recommended therapeutic duplication maximum.
