Sarecycline and calcium phosphate, tribasic should not be taken orally at the same time. Products that contain magnesium, aluminum, calcium, iron, and/or other minerals may interfere with the absorption of sarecycline into the bloodstream and reduce its effectiveness. If possible, it may be best to avoid taking calcium phosphate, tribasic while your are being treated with sarecycline. Otherwise, you should separate dosing by 2 to 4 hours, sarecycline should be taken at least 2 hours before and not less than 6 hours after Suprep Bowel Prep (magnesium/potassium/sodium sulfates), or sarecycline and calcium phosphate, tribasic should be taken as directed by your healthcare provider. Talk to your healthcare provider if you are unsure whether your medications contain something that could potentially interact or if you have questions on how to take this or other medications you are prescribed. Talk to your doctor before using alcohol together with folic acid. Excessive consumption of alcohol may reduce the absorption and increase the elimination of folic acid. Calcium absorption may be increased by taking it with food. However, foods high in oxalic acid (spinach or rhubarb), or phytic acid (bran and whole grains) may decrease calcium absorption. Calcium may be taken with food to increase absorption. Consider spacing calcium administration for at least 2 hours before or after consuming foods high in oxalic acid or phytic acid.
