Taking the belumosudil and sodium bicarbonate doses too close together may interfere with the absorption of belumosudil and reduce its effectiveness. To safely use these medications, you may need more frequent monitoring or additional instructions about when to take them. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.

Food can enhance the levels of belumosudil in your body. To ensure maximal oral absorption, belumosudil should be administered with or immediately after a meal, every day at approximately the same time. This will make it easier for your body to absorb the medication.
