Short-acting formulations of octreotide may significantly reduce the blood levels of telotristat ethyl when both are given at the same time. If you are prescribed a short-acting octreotide with telotristat ethyl, you should administer the octreotide injection at least 30 minutes after taking telotristat ethyl to minimize the interaction. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions or concerns. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
