    Default Ultram and Smoking

I have been a cigarette smoker for years and was just recently been prescribed ultram for pain. Ever since I started taking it smoking has lost it's appeal, and is no longer satisfying. Now it is like I am smoking but cannot even tell that I am. Not only that, but it tastes and smells nasty too. Has anyone else experienced this?

When we smoke it effects the reward centre in the brain.Opiates also effect the reward centre and this may be why you lost your taste for smoking. Most people seem to increase their smoking like drinking and smoking.Zyban kinda works like that but now there it Chantix here in Canada and it actually occuppies the nicotine receptors in the body thereby making you not feel the need to smoke....Dave
