For Erectile Dysfunction "I am 59 and have been using Viagra 50 mg for a few years now. When I first started taking it, I got quite a bit of blue vision, some mild headache, and stuffy nose. I've been cutting my 50s in half and taking them about 30-60 minutes before sex. From the get-go, I have always had nice, hard erections that lasted plenty. Here is what I found can weaken the effect of Viagra: 1) fatty foods - do NOT eat a big, greasy burger and then take Viagra expecting a big one... 2) alcohol - I can have a few beers spread over the evening, but any more than that lessens the effect or doesn't last as long as it would normally. My insurance covers my prescription for only $20, but I only get 6 pills a month, 18/90 days, so I'm going to 100s, still cut them."

"Best results for me if I take the 50 mg dose before eating anything. After a meal, I find that Viagra does not help me get an erection for hours, if at all. If taken on an empty stomach, it works fast. I also get flushed, but this tells me that it's working. I get occasional headaches from Viagra, but the side effects are well worth it!"

For Erectile Dysfunction "I have tried both Viagra and Cialis. Both have their pros and cons. I get a better and more constant erection with Viagra. But it took over an hour to start working. The 10mg dose lasted about 4 hours, but there were some residual effects afterward. Cialis started working after about 30 mins, and it really carries on for a good 24-36 hours, but the quality of the erection wasn't as good. I suffered with the snuffles with both. I got a headache only with Viagra, but it wasn't a bad one, though."

For Erectile Dysfunction "Used Viagra as an alternate after Cialis. Cialis at first provided repeated strong erections in a 24-hour period after years of severe ED. However, after 3 to 4 uses, the erections were too weak and too short-lived to sustain intercourse, so I switched to Viagra. At first, results were good. I had fewer erections, but they were longer lasting than Cialis and quite firm. However, this only lasted 2 or 3 uses before the same symptoms appeared as with Cialis: erections too weak and short-lived for intercourse. Also, moderate to severe headache, stuffiness, and fullness like a severe head cold."

For Erectile Dysfunction "Other than an occasional headache, no significant side effects. Viagra works fairly well for me but just not consistently. I almost always get hard - REALLY hard... but the erection doesn't last if foreplay is extended. So by the time I'm ready to penetrate, it isn't always stiff enough. As a result, I feel pressured to rush through sex with my boyfriend. Also, the price is absurd. The drug companies sure know how to play the game to delay generics from getting on the market. I understand the need to appease shareholders, but there should be a better way than by gouging consumers."
