Oseltamivir for Influenza "I am 7 weeks pregnant, an asthmatic, and came down with the flu yesterday. Doctor prescribed Tamiflu to lower the risk of complications. Flu is bad enough. But shortly after taking the first dose in the evening, I experienced abdominal cramping, diarrhea, and nausea. I figured this was part of the flu. However, the symptoms subsided after an hour or so, and I was able to eat dinner. I felt much better. I had a rough night with coughing and nasal congestion but no GI symptoms. This morning I took my second dose, again on an empty stomach, and immediately began cramping and feeling nauseous again. This time I threw up. I rarely ever throw up, not even from morning sickness, so I know this was caused by the Tamiflu. I am going to stop taking it."

Oseltamivir for Influenza "The doctor scared me into taking home Tamiflu for the whole family when my 4-year-old was diagnosed with flu B. I too was positive. My 20-month-old asthma son did not, nor did my husband. I started mine ASAP along with my daughter. My 4-year-old got diarrhea immediately, which seemed very counterproductive when you're trying to keep hydrated. I stopped her after 1 dose. She had the flu. It was uncomfortable, but manageable. I had diarrhea on day 1, by day 4, I started itching, getting hives, blisters, and watery eyes. It was awful. I stopped. Never again. Luckily, I listened to my husband. The doctor said to start a prevention dose for my 20-month-old, that the whole family was doomed to get it. My son never did! I would have given him that poison for nothing."

For Influenza "I tested positive for influenza B and began Tamiflu the next day. It made me queasy and gave me diarrhea two to three times per day. I took one probiotic a day and ate one yogurt a day and still wound up with the worst yeast infection ever. I used Monistat One but had to use it again three days later. Horrible side effects for me. The Tamiflu did not help my symptoms until I was on it for four complete days."

For Influenza "I took this medicine after dealing with influenza type A for 3 days. After the first 2 doses, I started having diarrhea, nausea, ringing in the ears, high blood pressure, insomnia, and very bad anxiety. I still used it for 4 days and just stopped it, can't do this anymore. With all these side effects, I am not sure how effective this medicine would be."

Oseltamivir for Influenza "Tamiflu knocked flu symptoms out, but I am a bit dizzy and have nausea and diarrhea! This hasn’t happened before on a preventative dose of once a day, but is troublesome with a twice-a-day dose."

Oseltamivir for Influenza "Terrible constant diarrhea and stomach pain. I had to discontinue the medication. Several days after the last dose, my intestines still feel raw. Won't take again."

Oseltamivir for Swine Flu "Tamiflu helped reduce my 2-year-old's symptoms to cold-like symptoms. The coughing remained, but decreased. The vomiting stopped, as did the fever and diarrhea. I would recommend this medicine."

Oseltamivir for Influenza "I became very ill with severe vomiting, diarrhea, headache, fever, chills, aches, exhaustion... and I had a 5-month-old baby to take care of. All this despite the flu shot. Twelve hours after the initial onset, my doctor diagnosed me with the flu and prescribed Tamiflu. It slowly got better, and two days later I am somewhat functional... which is good, because now I have to take care of my baby and my sick husband. We'll be getting him Tamiflu, too!"
