"I’m a 50-year-old woman with POTS, EDS, and mast cell disorder. I got this med one day after I tested positive for COVID-19 (my second round). I started feeling better by the next day. I’ve had some minor side effects: diarrhea, headache, and sleepiness. I’ve actually slept better than I ever do, and my mental state is very positive. I’m on day 5 and have no COVID symptoms, I would take it again. No issues with mast cell reactions either."

"I took Molnupiravir a year ago and loved the results. I took it on day five of my symptoms, right when the virus was starting to go into my lungs. Several hours after taking the first dose, my lungs cleared, and never got bad. By day five of the medication, I was completely better. I just started a second course yesterday, having tested positive the previous night. Several hours after taking it this time, my symptoms again started clearing up. I just took my third dose, and the medication is helping me recover quickly. If I wasn't testing positive, I would be out doing things."

Molnupiravir "It worked. No side effects. I started taking it the day I first tested positive, which was 2 days after my first symptoms appeared. I had no serious symptoms of COVID thanks to this drug. I stopped testing positive right after I finished the treatment. I was fine and healthy one week after initially testing positive! The only issue was that I had to use a manufacturer coupon since my insurance didn't cover it."

Molnupiravir "I asked for Paxlovid because it worked before for me. Because I had not had blood work lately, I was advised to take Lagevrio by the ER doc. I had a lot of trouble with my Aetna insurance wanting a 'prior authorization.' A full day later, and with the persistent help of a great N.P., I finally received approval from Aetna. This medicine did a good job. I totally believe that had I been 'authorized' sooner, the Lagevrio would have been even more effective. If you are similarly rejected by your insurance company, I suggest perseverance - even though you are tired and sick. :-("

Molnupiravir "Lagevrio worked well and kept me from experiencing any severe symptoms of COVID. It's critically important that you obtain this drug the moment you know that you have COVID. The earlier in your illness that you take this drug, the more effective it will be. I was on Lagevrio for 5 days. The only noticeable side effect was some diarrhea. If you're on antipsychotic medication(s), your doctor will give you this drug instead of Paxlovid due to interactions. Please note that most insurance plans do not cover Lagevrio, you will need to go on Lagevrio's website and get the low-cost coupon for it. Have lots of water on hand since you have to take 4 of these pills every 12 hours."

"Lessened COVID symptoms of body aches, dry cough, and sore throat from the first day to 3.5 days of dosing. But severe dizziness, restless sleep, and nausea... just an awful feeling. Will stop taking it."

"Before starting it (Feb 2023), I had just developed a fever, and the fever was resolved the morning after the first dose. My coughing greatly reduced later that same day. Continued the course of doses, and the symptoms continued to lessen till gone."

"I have taken molnupiravir now from day 1. It is now day 5. I take my last dose tonight at 10 p.m. I have really had no bad side effects thus far. On day 3, I did develop a light pink skin rash under each arm and along two lines on the upper side of my chest. The doctor told me to continue taking the drug, and I have. The other thing I have to note is the onset of very bad vivid dreams, from which you awake very confused. COVID symptoms seem to be reduced, however, I do sleep more than usual."

Molnupiravir "Was contraindicated from taking Pavlovid. Took Lagevrio as prescribed and had no adverse effects. Have suffered severe shoulder and hip pain since concluding treatment. Not sure if related to Lagevrio or not."

"68-year-old male. Started with a scratchy throat on the evening of 1/6/23. During the day on 1/7, progressively got worse, with a head cold and fever. Took Tylenol, but symptoms became worse. On 1/8, tested positive for Covid. Prescribed Molnupiravir and took the first dose that evening. Fever broke during the night. Still have a head cold on 1/10 but feeling better with lessening symptoms. Also took Molnupiravir during the previous Covid during 7/22, and cleared up the symptoms within a day."

"In case you're thinking of taking the antiviral medication, I tested positive and called a healthcare professional who recommended Molnupiravir. I started taking it on the second day in the evening (4 capsules every 12 hours for 5 days). I was very stuffed up and had a low-grade fever which comes and goes. Sinus drainage and headache are very persistent. Currently, I have laryngitis. My cough is not productive, and the headache remains. Overall, I feel tired most of the time. My appetite is low, I get hungry, and I kind of feel bad after I eat. I have lost my sense of smell or taste and have had diarrhea on and off since the third day of starting the medication. The cough and sinus drainage are very persistent. I have chest pains from my lungs and maybe some COVID brain, not sure. If I hadn't taken this, I believe I would have gotten much worse. After the first 12 hours, it stopped it in its tracks, but then the stuff came back. It's just hard to say, but the malaise is real."

"Started taking molnupiravir 200 mg X2 twice a day on day 2 of testing positive for COVID. I had felt it in the back of the left side of my throat the night before on day 1, and it came on pretty quickly with a stuffed-up head, headache, body aches, sore throat, and fever of around 100. I knew right away what it was because my husband started his Paxlovid 3 days prior to my getting sick. It started working immediately the second day, and I continued to improve, this is the 3rd day. Tylenol or the molnupiravir didn't touch the headache, though. Constant heavy achy head. Had to resort to tramadol 50 mg to relieve my headache. Also started guaifenesin 1200 mg slow-release tablets as I was starting to get chest congestion. Immediately started getting relief after starting the guaifenesin. Started coughing up my congestion in my chest. Continuing on with this medication to day four tomorrow. I am convinced this is a good medication, although I need something extra for headache and chest congestion."

"I had a sore throat, tested, and it was negative. That night, the fever started, and I didn't feel well. I'm 62 and am a kidney transplant patient. The next morning, I went to a hospital (I was traveling). Took the drug at lunchtime, and within two days, I started to feel better, and the fever went away. My stomach was a bit upset but not too bad. After taking the drug for 5 days, I have a weird taste in my mouth but no other symptoms. Doing walks and feeling alright. Thank goodness, I have a few more days before I return home. Hopefully, I don't get any rebound."

"Symptoms started Fourth of July, tested positive. Same day, started this medication the following day. I have had three doses so far. It did break my fever, and my sore throat is better, but my sinus congestion is horrific, I cannot breathe through my nose at all for days. It's hard to sleep. I have no taste or smell. I pray that another couple of doses will help with this horrible head congestion."

"I took the generic for Lagevrio last February. I didn't have any side effects because. I was prescribed Molnupiravir because Paxlovid had too many side effects with the Rx's I take every day. I had a light case of the Covid, so this medicine must have helped."

"My husband took this drug and had amazing energy but still coughing after 4 days on LAGEVRIOL. I also started on the same drug after testing positive for Covid. It helped the swollen sore throat after the 2nd day; headache, cough & cold symptoms are still bothersome after day 3. I think Paxlovid worked better and faster when I took it a couple of years ago."

"Not enjoying this medication whatsoever - I’m getting nauseous, I have diarrhea, and I’m super lightheaded with heart palpitations. I have less COVID symptoms but feel so much worse that it’s basically like I have more symptoms at this point."

"I had typical symptoms: fever of 101, sore throat, cough, stuffy nose, headache, etc. Molnupiravir relieved the symptoms in 36 hours- no more fever, headache. However, I felt fatigued all day for five days. I slept 9 hours at night and took a 2-hour nap and still felt very tired. I finished the 5-day prescription yesterday and am starting to come out of this fog today. Molnupiravir does work in that it eliminated my COVID symptoms right away; however, its side effects may force you to alter your routine."
