"My 12-year-old son received his 2nd shot in December 2020 (1st one 6 months prior). As the nurse was giving him the injection, he was literally growling with pain. He did not move, but I could tell it hurt him. Immediately after it was done, his whole body started shaking, and it wouldn’t stop, he had no control. The nurse then said we had to stay for a while to make sure he was okay. I started rubbing the arm, trying to make him feel better. He said stop, it hurt too bad. 10/10 was his pain level, and he will not receive that last shot. That completely scared me. I am a married mom of 6 sons, and he is my youngest. This has never happened before... I’m not gonna see what a 3rd shot will do."

Human papillomavirus vaccine "I'm 24 and received the shot. Although painful (stinging), I experienced no extreme side effects as mentioned in numerous reviews. It was quick, and I plan on returning to receive my second, then third."

"I am a college student in the medical field. I think it's always good to have a virus vaccine because this microorganism is hardest to treat, and once you get infected, you will always have that virus in your body. So a couple of times of hurting shots will protect your life long. You never know what's going to happen to you."

"Horrible! Ever since I got this vaccine, I've been feeling so bad. My heart speeds up, I feel dizzy, and I have headaches. Horrible! I never had this before! I have stomach issues. I feel like I’m about to faint. This only happened when I got this vaccine. I've always been a very healthy person, rarely going to the doctors, so imagine me now, always going to the hospital. Doctors say I just have anxiety. I don't know what to do."

Human papillomavirus vaccine "Hopefully, I can rate the effectiveness as a 10. I have had my second shot, and both my arms really hurt for about 2 minutes, but after that, the pain was gone and no other side effects. I think this is something that every woman or girl should get. It is really expensive, and I think a preventative like this should really be covered by healthcare or insurance at least (as mine is not and I have paid $170 per shot)."

Human papillomavirus vaccine "Out of all three shots, the third shot hurt the most. The first shot felt like a normal shot, while the second stinged just a little, but the third shot, my arm hurt for about 3 to 4 days. Overall, I think that it's worth it because it is for the best."

Human papillomavirus vaccine "I got the shot, the second one hurt the most. The pain in my arm only lasted maybe 2 hours at the most. When I got the last shot, the nurse injected it into the joint of my shoulder, which hurt for a lot longer, but that was the nurse's fault, not the Gardasil. I had no side effects. I believe getting the vaccination was a smart thing to do and was worth it."

Human papillomavirus vaccine "I'm 18 years old and have had all three of these shots. I don't understand why people make this shot to be such a big deal. It barely hurt when I got them. Even if it did, who cares? If the shot is going to help you out in the long run. I never had any bad side effects, I recommend it to any woman who likes to be proactive."

Human papillomavirus vaccine "I received the second shot yesterday, and it was VERY painful. My arm is still sore today. I'm dreading the 3rd shot. It is the most painful vaccine I have ever received, and I'm 43 years old."

"Got my third dosage recently. Went fine. Don't read the other reviews unless you want to freak yourself out, the vaccine is actually one of the least painful ones I've ever gotten."

"Great vaccine. HPV is something you don't want to get. Most cervical cancer is a result of HPV, which is everywhere. Plus, you can avoid getting warts. Didn't have any side effects."

Human papillomavirus vaccine "I don't know about the efficacy of this vaccine, but I had no issues with the shot itself. It stung maybe slightly more than a flu vaccine, but not bad. I had no other side effects. I got it in my 20s. My son got the vaccine too, and his experience was similar - no issues. It seems to be a well-researched vaccine with a good safety record, and HPV is so common these days that I think it's a good idea."
