Flonase (fluticasone) for Allergic Rhinitis "Every time I use Flonase it enhances my symptoms to a greater and almost debilitating level. My eyes become red, inflamed, and watery. My nose runs more. My throat becomes red and sore. I am not sure if I am allergic to an ingredient in the spray or not, but it does not provide any relief. Only makes the ones I have multiply."

Flonase (fluticasone) for Rhinitis "Within 2 hours of my 2nd dose of Flonase, I experienced difficulty breathing, and had crusting around the openings of my nose. I also had a feeling of extreme restlessness, much like I would imagine restless leg persons are afflicted with. The next morning I was SOB with minimal exertion, and experienced a worsening sore throat and pharyngitis, with difficulty speaking above a whisper."

Flonase (fluticasone) for Rhinitis "Horrible allergy symptoms-total stopped up nose and sneezing and unable to sleep due to congestion! I'd been using decongestant nasal sprays daily thru allergy season which was becoming all year! I started using Flonase one week ago at night and within 2 days all symptoms are gone! I love you Flonase. I'm telling everyone!"

Xhance (fluticasone) for Nasal Polyps "I just turned 23 and I was given Xhance for nasal polyps that made breathing through my nose very hard and took away my sense of smell. It worked well for me in the beginning with minimal side effects. I gained my smell back and I could breathe through my nose again after about a month of using it, so then I stopped using it because I got comfortable with the results. I went back to using it a month and half later once my smell started to slowly fade again and I started getting blurred vision that made me very uncomfortable. I’ve never had vision problems always 20/20. Now I am hesitant to use Xhance again because of this. Not sure what to do. Hope this review helps someone."

Flonase (fluticasone) for Rhinitis "Flonase does nothing for my vasomotor rhinitis. After taking it for 2 weeks I felt chronic fatigue for several months. I tried it again, had the same problem. Drugs aren't always the answer, there must be a better solution... I grow tired of my ailment after 7 years of it."

Flonase (fluticasone) for Rhinitis "I have an anxiety disorder and take medications to manage it (Zoloft and Clonazepam). However, using Flonase Nasal Spray alongside these medications made me feel more energized, uncomfortable chest sensations, worse anxiety symptoms, and blurred vision. I used it for almost 3 months, administering 2 sprays in each nostril daily, then reducing it to 1 spray for 10 days before stopping completely. After a week, I experienced horrible anxiety and depression, which made me feel sick and anxious throughout the day. It was challenging to cope with severe anxiety for an extended period. It took me six weeks to feel normal again. If you suffer from mental problems, I strongly advise you not to take this medication. I don't understand how this medication can be sold over the counter in pharmacies."

Flonase (fluticasone) for Rhinitis "Have used Flonase for the last year - I used to have to take decongestant that still left me stuffy and Flonase alone is the best! I would be so stuffy at night couldn't breath through my nose and this works! Love it."

Veramyst (fluticasone) for Nasal Polyps "I had four polyps removed two years ago. My physician prescribed Veramyst. I have really enjoyed using this medication once daily during the two years. No sign of the polyps returning. In addition, during the four years I haven't had a cold or a sinus problem. Prior I would be bothered with sinus problems during the winter season. I recommend this spray and will continue to use it myself."

Flonase (fluticasone) for Allergic Rhinitis "I suffered from stuffy nose, headaches and ears aching for 3-4 years. Numerous sinus infections, antibiotics and visit to Dr and ENT. Nasocort didn't do much, Flonase works! I was hesitant at first as I don't like taking meds- side effects, allergic reaction, etc. My experience has been great, it worth trying if you have tried other things. Its safe and effective. **Side note. 2 years ago we installed a humidifier in our furnace system to keep moisture levels up. GAME changer!! No sinus infections since. Best of luck. Be safe and give it a try."

Flonase (fluticasone) for Allergic Rhinitis "I took it for a little over a week. I thought it may need a week for it to set in. It didn't stop my allergies at all, in fact, it worsened shortly after use. I had light nausea and heavy migraines shortly after taking it every day. I stopped taking it cause it was ineffective and due to the side effects. I've had allergies for almost a year. I'm going to try something else (Alavert). Claritin, Allegra, Flonase, Equate, Zyrtec, Benadryl, and Nasonex have all failed me so far."

Veramyst (fluticasone) for Nasal Polyps "I have extensive sinus disease and so many polyps that a CT could not pick up if part of my sinuses even existed anymore. I've also had 2 surgeries with no relief. My quality of life has been VERY poor. My ENT just put me on Veramyst and after 2 days I noticed a big relief. I don't feel like a colony of giant polyps are invading every orafice in my head. I haven't had a migraine, earache or retro-orbital headache in over a week. I haven't regained my sense of smell, however, I'm still discovering the pro's and con's of Veramyst. My neck, back and other body pain is worse but I don't know if that's because the focus has been taken off my face and head. Right now I'm just thankful for some relief and delaying frontal sinus obliteration."

Flonase (fluticasone) for Allergic Rhinitis "Yes it does cause anxiety, like the many users even I took 3 months to find out that this is what caused me to go to mental health and have me all the issues , anxiety , insomnia , increased BP at night after I took it. When I went to dr my BP showed normal in morning and my dr thought I was loosing my mind - till one day last week I figured it was Flonase"

Flonase (fluticasone) for Allergic Rhinitis "Since childhood I've had intense seasonal allergies. They get so bad that my throat itches terribly, my nose runs profusely then it clogs up completely. Worst of all is how bad my eyes get red and tear up and itch and hurt all the time. It's a nightmare allergy wise living in south Texas because of the cedar pollen. I did some research and saw that Flonase is a type of cortical steroid so I bought some. Kenalog40 shots have always been my savior but since I lost my insurance I'm stuck with OTC. Tried Flonase as per the instructions. Within days every allergy symptom but my itchy red and runny eyes went away. I waited two weeks but no relief for my eyes. After doubling the dosage my eyes cleared up and now I'm allergy free. Flonase rocks!"

For Nasal Polyps "For the last few years my allergies/sinuses have become really bad, due to the forced dry heating system where I live. I started taking Loratadine 10mg which helped some with congestion but it just wasn't enough. I ended up getting nasal polyps that made my nose bleed, obstructed my smell and sense of taste, caused difficulty in draining of my sinuses, and made it hard to breath in through my nose, so I started using Flonase. I am only on day 6 and the feeling of my skull bursting slowly went away, I can breathe easier and smell again, it already started to shrink the polyps and the nose bleeding stopped, feeling much better."

Flonase (fluticasone) for Allergic Rhinitis "It gave me headaches and nerve pain in my arms/legs/heels and it was causing me anxiety and a general weird feeling. I stopped it and symptoms went away. I tried it again and I got the anxiety and nerve pain too. I was taking one puff in my nostril every day. I did some MRI scan later for an unrelated cause and I found some unspecific demyelinated lesions. It might be related as it did give me some really weird neurological symptoms. It took me 10 days to figure out what was happening. Thanks to everyone who shared their story."

Xhance (fluticasone) for Nasal Polyps "Well! May 2020, I was one of the study candidates, and everything was wonderful until January 2023. You see, I caught a URI, and my Primary Care Doctor prescribed me Azithromycin and Prednisone several times. (The only antibiotic that works for me.) Now it's July 25, 2023, and I still have a URI really bad now, and my left lung collapsed and deflated from April 28 to May 5, 2023. I've been going through nosebleeds, a runny nose, swelling of my face, headaches, blurry vision, leg weakness, toothaches, body aches, unsteadiness, confusion, white circles around lights, chills, and real bad sweating. I've been to the ER 3-4 times, only to be sent home with 'you only have sinusitis really bad.' Well, I've called the doctors/ENT that did the study and gave me Xhance and left several messages, but no answer or return of my call. Well, to end this story, my sister found out I was never supposed to have been given Azithromycin. You can't take that with Xhance due to drug interactions, and the pharmacist never caught it. I messed up. I'm still on antibiotics."

Flonase (fluticasone) for Allergic Rhinitis "Flonase is possibly ok for intermittent use if your nose is completely clogged. I do NOT recommend this for daily use as ENT's and Dr.'s suggest. The more I used this, the more migraines and daily headaches I got. I started feeling better not using flonase and told a Dr. this and he told me to keep using it. So I started using it again, and back came the debilitating migraines. Horrible ones for which nothing worked and for which I had to miss work. Will never go back to this. Nasal rinse only. Giving it 3 stars for the occasional use only."

Flonase (fluticasone) for Rhinitis "I was getting nasal infections every 3 months that would last for weeks without treatment. I'd go in and get antibiotics and within a week it'd clear up. Then another 3 months later I'd get another infection. UNTIL I started using this spray! As long as I continue to use it, I don't get nose infections. And, it smells like flowers, which I like. :)"

Flonase (fluticasone) for Allergic Rhinitis "To say Flonase is dangerous is an understatement. I developed Trigeminal Neuralgia from using it. If you google for a long time and look very carefully you will find an FDA study showing they know this is a possible side effect! No one should use this. GSK should discontinue making this. I can't express how negatively this drug has affected my life and how much pain it is still causing me. Please beware of using this."

Flonase (fluticasone) for Allergic Rhinitis "I took Flonase for a few days in a row and it has now been 3 months since I’ve been off of it and I am still struggling. It has turned my life upside down. I’ve had anxiety, depression, weird debilitating headaches, strange skin sensations, neurological problems such as tremors, vibrations, severe burning skin all over, hot flashes, cold chills, weakness ,dizziness nausea, numbness, tingling, blurred vision and uncoordinated movements. This all started when I took flonase several days in a row. In the past, I had taken it about once a month. So I didn’t notice the side effects as badly. The anxiety and depression have eased up a lot and the headaches are a little less frequent. The burning feeling is still terrible. I still get very weak and the skin sensations are still there. It feels like I’m swollen all over even though there’s no visible swelling. Warn everyone you know about this."

My anxiety was through the roof, I had heart palpitations and my speech was off along with using my hands to talk which is not normal for me. It felt like I was on drugs which I found embarrassing."

Flonase (fluticasone) for Rhinitis "Flonase is the best! I suffered from horrible night-time congestion. This medicine is a miracle. No more waking up all night unable to breathe with a horrible headache and feeling like a zombie for half the day! No side effects at all for me. Only downside is the expense without insurance. Wish they had a cheap generic version."

Flonase (fluticasone) for Allergic Rhinitis "As a life long seasonal allergy sufferer, I search for something that won't put me to sleep won't cause side effects with other medications I can afford For most of my life I've taken plain old Sudafed with an aspirin from mid February, when the early bulbs start to bloom until after Thanksgiving when pollen finally is gone. Last year my daughter, who has similar symptoms, tried Flonase with great success. For me, the "Hottest Year Ever-2015" was also my worse ever year with allergies, I have all the symptoms from watery eyes, runny nose, coughing, sneezing etc etc etc. I've been using it for 4 days, starting with 2 times a day then once a day and my symptoms seem to be going away!"
