For Rejection Prophylaxis "My creatinine 90 days post-transplant was increasing from 1.5 to 2.0 while on Prograf. I started on belatacept infusions at that time and have been on every 28-day infusions for the last 3+ years. My creatinine stays now between 1.2 and 1.3, and I feel so much better. I do feel a little tired after the infusion for the rest of the day, but feel great otherwise. I’m so thankful for this medication. With the help of Bristol Myers assistance program, my copay is about $100 per month."

Belatacept for Rejection Prophylaxis "Thank God this came along! Tacrolimus was literally killing my donor kidney, and I was almost to the point of going back on dialysis! It's so much better from a numbers standpoint. Once every 30-day infusion via IV at a center that takes exactly 30 minutes every time vs. a monthly varying number of pills every 12 hours, depending on crappy CVS Specialty to get it right and get it on time - never happens, all my eGFR, UA, Comprehensive lab results bounced back into the 'at least acceptable within a few weeks, and now ALL my lab numbers are in the normal-for non-transplant folks range. I feel so much better since ditching Prograf (after being on it for 4 years). Hardly any side effects (other than feeling better) compared to Prograf's endless list. Just seem a little tired for about a day after the infusion; the rest of the month it's just GREAT!"
