I know Zoloft might have an interaction with grapefruit. Is there any other food I should be aware of? I read that I have to be careful with chicken, chocolate, bananas, and avocado. But what does this exactly means? Does it mean I should avoid these foods? Or eating them together and too much of it? Please help, I'm new on Zoloft.
I am on Zoloft, can I eat anything?

HI! Some sites say there are no interactions between food and Zoloft, others mention grapefruit and tyramine containing food. From the Drugs.com Interactions Checker:
"Zoloft (sertraline) alcohol/food interactions
There is 1 alcohol/food interaction with Zoloft (sertraline)
sertraline ↔ food
Moderate Food Interaction
You should avoid or limit the use of alcohol while being treated with sertraline. Alcohol can increase the nervous system side effects of sertraline such as dizziness, drowsiness, and difficulty concentrating. Some people may also experience impairment in thinking and judgment. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions or concerns."
Maybe you should just completely avoid these foods until you are able to consult with your doctor/psychiatrist/pharmacist for professional advice.
