I've been taking Zoloft/Sertraline, for 11 weeks now. Started out on 25mg and then 50mg. I've been on 50mg for 6 weeks. I'm still having minor anxiety here and there but even that is bothersome. Anyone had the same question? My doctor will probably say try a higher dose. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
How do you know when you need a higher dosage of Zoloft?

Hi, JM!
Everybody responds differently to these medications and everybody's therapeutic level is different.
Generally if you've made good progress but still have lingering symptoms it's is time to try a higher dosage. Also, it can take 6-8 weeks to feel the full benefits of the medication.
The maximum daily dosage is 200mg so you have plenty of wiggle room. You might want to try going up to 75mg and see how you do as you'd want to take the lowest dose that still controls your anxiety.
Let's see what your doctor has to say...
