Just wondering will it affect the way the birth control works or can cause any problems

There are no known interactions with biotin and birth control pills.
Biotin is a water-soluble, B complex vitamin. It is found naturally in foods such as brewer’s yeast, eggs, sardines, and banana. It helps the body metabolize carbohydrates, fats, and other substances.
Although biotin may be taken as a supplement to treat hair loss by stimulating hair growth and to treat brittle nails by increasing nail thickness, there is not enough evidence to confirm any medicinal properties and more research is needed.
Known medicines that interact with biotin include antipsychotics (clozapine, haloperidol), antidepressants (eg, imipramine, fluvoxamine), muscle relaxants (eg, cyclobenzaprine), propranolol, and zolmitriptan. Some other supplements, such as alpha-lipoic acid or vitamin B-5 (pantothenic acid), may affect the absorption of biotin.
You should always check with your doctor or pharmacist for interactions before taking biotin with any other medicine.
