My anxiety is just getting worse. I feel light headed and sick in the stomach nearly everyday. Always worried about nothing. My Dr has given me Prozac 20mg however I am very worried how I will feel the first few weeks and if I’ll be able to work. How do you all get through this ?
How did you continue to work when starting Prozac?

Hi, Tayla!
I'm sorry you're having these difficulties... many people experience side effects when first starting an antidepressant/anxiolytic.
How long have you been taking your Prozac? These side effects generally resolve over just a few days to a week or so and usually lessen day by day. If they're interfering with your daily life report it to your doctor. A temporary reduction in your dosage may help for a smoother adjustment to the medication. New or increased anxiety can also be medically managed.
Eat small bland snacks like yogurt, soda crackers, milk products, and Jello throughout the day. Ginger or peppermint tea can be very effective for the nausea.
Lastly, talk to your friend the pharmacist as there are many OTC products remedies that can help manage your side effects.
If you have more questions or concerns feel free to post again, okay?
Best regards and stay positive... you should be feeling better very soon.
