I have been prescribed allopurinol 300mg and just started. It seems like the gout has gotten worse since taking it so I am continuing to take indomethacin. Should I up my dosage of allopurinol? Will taking both medications rid me of gout attacks, or will I continue with issues by taking both meds. Also any side affects.
Can you take allopurinol and indomethacin at the same time?

The indomethacin is for when the gout flares up or however you want to explain it hitting you but from what my doctor has said you should only take the allopurinol once your gout has gone away the allopurinol is to help keep you from having another gout attack and if you take it while you are taking the indomethacin it will keep the indomethacin from making the gout go away
