I’ve taken Xanax in the past and it made me sleep, but not sleep well. I’d wake up still feeling tired and drugged. I took it at night before bed, usually. Klonopin, which is another benzo drug, works fantastic for me. Good restful sleep and and no drugged feeling. I could take a half dose during the day if I needed to without feeling drowsy. Everyone has different reactions to benzo drugs. Klonopin (clonazepam) is what works for me. I hope this helps.
Thanks
Well said WC, I took half as well to keep me calm. It differ from person to person .Your body will adjust, feel better.
I was addicted to Ambien and Xanax for some time now and there's no doctor who's willing to continue you on these types of drugs. They going to refer you to a psychiatrist and to take an antidepressant like trazodone or mirtazapine for sleep. Just being honest and hope this info helps.
Hi, Jo!
All benzodiazepines are mild sedatives so it should help you sleep.
