Why should you not lay down 30 minutes after taking ferrous sulfate?

Most of the time when this is listed as an instruction for a medication, it is so that the medicine will have time to go down further in the intestinal tract to dissolve or be absorbed. If you are lying down, the medication will have a harder time descending and possible dissolving.
