The best relief for bladder I have ever used. I've been battling burning and pain for twenty years and this is the best medicine I've ever used. Any chance of it being put back on the prescription market. The only med that
allows me to live a painfree normal life.
Why has Pyridium Plus taken off the market?

I hear ya! When i heard it was being taken off the market years ago, I had my doctor write me a script for a high qty. Like REALLY high. Now, I only have 3 pills left and because they are so old, i have to take more than the regular dosage to make them kick in.
I am very susceptible to UTI's, and Pyridium is literally the only drug that eases any of the pain. And because at a time I had them so frequently (like over 100 in a years time) the pain I feel is off the charts. And I dont want to wait a full 24 hours for a prescription to kick in. 24 hours is a LONG time to be in that kind of pain.
But I have some good news...
My cousin asked me if I had ever heard of AZO, and I had not. She said they sell it over the counter in the states with no prescription required. When I looked it up, it is Pyridium. Same ingredient, same thing. HALLELUJAH!!!
I found them on Amazon.ca. The company also sells a variety of other bladder/uti products that I am 1027% trying . lol
They also sell them at Target, so if you are close to a border, or have family to visit you can snag them there. Much cheaper even with the exchange that way. Needless to say when I go to NJ at the end of June, I will be coming home with a suitcase full of AZO.
Search up compounding pharmacies in your area. We compound this regularly and ship all over the province. Hopefully you'll be able to find a compounding pharmacy in your province/state that will do this for you. Best of luck
I developed cystitis back in 1984 and was given pyridium plus. One pill and all pain was gone! The next bout of cystitis was 6 weeks ago and I found out pyridium plus is no longer around. Went on the internet and found the ingredients that were in pyridium plus. I wrote them down and took them to the emergency room at the hospital today. They were able to get the 3 ingredients for me through their in house pharmacy. Came home and took the 3 pills they gave me and after 5 weeks of excruciating pain and misery, one dose of these pills and the pain went away immediately! If you have interstitial cystitis I beg you to go to your doctor or urologist armed with these ingredients and ask to get them. You will have instant relief!
Hi I had kidney removal surgery about a month ago and have been suffering with painful UTI symptoms and my urethra hurts too. I am taking peridium. Please share the ingredients they gave you at the emergency room. I need to get my life back! Thanks
I meant kidney stone
I don't have an answer for you but I agree with you totally. II always have it on hand in the event of the burning when uriniate,it WORKS along with flood gates of water. Please pray they bring it back.
Prosed DS is a great 2nd choice. I also was VERY disappointed when they discontinued Pyridium Plus because it worked for the Interstitial Cystitis burning pain that I suffer from. Prosed DS is expensive but it works well. However, I still wish they would put Pyridium Plus and Utira C back on the market
