It is generally recommended to take Simavstatin in the evening, and may be taken with or without food. For the medication to work properly, you have to take it as prescribed, it will not work if you stop taking it.
Your doc is the best person to decide how long you should take the med, as he/she would know your medical history better, hope this helps?
