Unfortunately one cannot stop taking anti hypertensive drugs, they can be however be changed, please consult your doctor.
You can stop taking amlodipine any time you like. But please let your doctor know before you do so because he/she will need to monitor you and perhaps put you on another high blood pressure medicine.
