When my doctor gave me the presceiption for Baclofen, he said it was one of the milder muscle relaxants and I could take it during the day and still function normally. When I went to get the prescription I noticed that the script said "take 1/2 to 1 3 times a week". I'm thinking it should have been 3 times a day. When I called the doctor's office they were closed and have been for three days due to bac weather. Any thoughts on this?
What is the typical dosage of Baclofen for pain such as neck joint & muscle. Can you take it daily?

I am 22 I have the same proble my doctor has me take 5mg every 8 hrs
Usually the starting dose is 5-10mg three times per day, to start. Did you check with the pharmacy to have them pull the hard copy of the script and check it again? Pharmacies do make mistakes and it could have been a mistake when they typed it in, however, I wouldnt automatically increase the dose to three times a day without confirming it with the pharmacy or the Dr's office. Also, your Dr should have an emergency contact number for when he is out of the office. You may get a different Dr on call, but some Dr should always be available after hours and during things like inclement weather. Usually you will call a number for an answering service and they will take your info (name, phone number and reason for call) and have the Dr on call give you a call back.

I can share that I have a friend that takes baclofen daily for muscle spasicity. My sister took it for muscle spasms but found that it made her too dizzy and woozy so she doesn't take anymore.
Hope this helps,
Laurie
