I have slight swelling of my upper lip and right upper cheek from below my eye to the right corner where my lips meet. There is also moderate pain in the same area described. I started taking cipro 500 mg yesterday, every 12 hours. Is this the right daily dosage, and, if so, how many more days should I continue taking the cipro 500 mg ?
What is the dosage of ciprofloxacin 500 mg tablets for a severe tooth infection ?

Hi the dosage would depend on you age, weight, if you take other medications, and how severe your pain/infection is. Below is a table stating some dose requirements but i don't know if it will help you much. It does indicate that should take the med at 12 hourly intervals, as you have stated. Sorry i can't answer your question directly
Adult Min/Max Dose: 500.0mg/1500.0mg
Pediatric Min/Max Dose: 20.0mg/kg/40.0mg/kg
Equivalent AUC Dosing Regimens

500 mg Tablet q 12 h 400 mg I.V. q 12 h
