They are the exactly same just different manufacturers and both contain 2mg of Alprazolam. The Yellow Bars seem stronger bc the actual pull itself dissolves very quickly. The white bars are tighter pressed and the outer core is different as in the compound it mor sold. This takes longer for the 2, mg to hit you. Compared to the Yellows dissolve within 1 Minute getting the full effect quicker than over a periodically manner.

No no no! The yellow's as of 9/2017 are hard as a rock!!! Wtf I'm SO PISSED!! Last week I had one and did dissolve fast. That was from a friend and i don't know where it came from, but it worked great. I just got my 60 and took 2 bc they aren't working!!! And I swear I was afraid to break a tooth trying to bite it. I'm so pissed off should have went to get the Sandoz brand that I'm used to!! This is ridiculous! Now I'm stuck with these for a fn month :(

I've been on benzos all my life I prefer the yellow too the white but basically there is no difference neither are time released no matter what others are saying I've been on xanax so long since they first came out. You build up a tolerance too them I've gotten off of them several times and it was 30 days of living hell at my age you can't get anyone too write the amount I take so I get them elsewhere internet and people I trust. Good luck with this there is a lot of fake information out there. No bars are time released and I'm licensed dependency counselor but I still need my meds

IMHO the best are the green bars aka green hulks. scored in 3 pieces, some people mistake them for a mg per section (3mg). this is false!. all Xanax bars are 2mg (.5 per section except in greens). The yellow ones made by activis are my second favorite followed by the white ggs. The ones imprinted with Xanax on one side and 2 on the other are good but beware! there are many home pressers who make their own with god knows what in them. 2mg is a heavy dose for some people but others can function perfectly normal. start slow and work your way up. They definitely take the edge off in social situations ;)

From the bay sf. My friends and I have been taking bars for a Minute and the yellow ones are good (10min+α couple shots) they hit faster than hulks and white ones. I'm on one right now and it's been An hour and a half and I'm still feeling great. If you cop a legit r039 you will be satisfied. hope this helped

People please stop giving false information on this matter. The yellow BARS ARE NOT TIME RELEASE... Yes there are yellow generic Xanax that are time released BUT THEY ARE NOT BARS! They are round or triangle shaped. Just look it up before you take it. Look at pictures. HUGE difference between time release and instant! The girl who keeps telling everyone on here the yellow bars are time release is FLAT OUT WRONG! Please don't listen to her she has zero clue what she's talking about. Like I said just look at pictures real quick before you throw them down your throat. God I hope you listen and not to the girl giving extremely wrong info. Enjoy your Xanax :)))

I get the 1mg extended release Xanax, it is a round thick pill. They yellow bars are NOT extended release! My dad had the 2mg extended release and they were round and thick too.. All 2mg “bars” are NOT extended release! It doesn’t matter if they are green, yellow or white... everyone isn’t going to feel the exact same feeling for the same pill. I have never seen an extended release that dissolves quickly in your mouth.. I also get the 1mg blue footballs, they are instant release, for my bad anxiety attacks from my PTSD & GAD (generalized anxiety disorder)...
They time extended release is great during the day, but in the evening when everything gets hectic or I have to go shopping, the instant release is fabulous!
On the topic of “which color bar is the best”.. like I said they are all instant release but everyone feels them differently. When I was just on the bars, I preferred the white ones o we the green or yellow ones... but that’s just me:)...

Yellow bars are not extended release. They are just normal 2 mg pills. You can look up the various pictures on this site but most are round or rectangle and are 1 or 3 ml

The white curved ones taste much stronger. However, it needs to be noted that you should NEVER buy them on the street. Any type can be phony and you could put yourself in serious danger.

Not correct. Yellow are IR. They make 3 mg ER. The green bars do seem weak. No person disputes that.

No. Call your pharmacist to confirm but the 2mg oblong bars in either yellow or white are not time released.

I've taken both the yellow and the white bars, many times for my social anxiety disorder over the years. Ro be quite frank, I've never seen much of a discernable difference between the two. It's all the colour thst is different, and it's just because they are manufactured by different pharmaceutical companies.

There is no difference between them. Cvs 2mg Xanax bars are white but from Safeway, they are green, from another pharmacy is yellow. Stop the bull. These are all generic but the white ones with Xanax on them are the real non generic ones but the same things as the others. They get rid of your panic attacka

The yellow 2mgs are very much stronger. The green 2mgs ate the time released. And the white ones are good also depending on what kind you get from the pharmacy. The fat ones with the two GG are no good, and personally whoever said the pills that xanax on then ate completly wrong they suck. They are not the best infact they are the worst. Hope this helps you.

Wouldn't it say ER on the Rx of xanax 2mg? See this one pharmacy gives me the green ones they say S|3|90 And they're NOT "time released"! When I go to the other pharmacy I get the white ones they say G 3722. When I go to a different pharmacy I get the yellow ones that say R039. Same prescription different manufacturing and colors. It's psychological to people. They get nervous because they're already anxious and freak out about colors. The ONLY way they're different is if they say "ER" on prescription AND on the pill. I go to pharmacy school to learn more about them. Some are different only by having inactive ingredients.
Who disagrees with me? I have PTSD and given White ones, yellow ones, and green ones and they don't give me extended release xanax bars because I need the medication to take away my panic attacks ASAP, not later.
So they give you the xanax that goes along with what you need it for. I'm just saying that the clinic told me, and the Drs told me they'd never give "ER" xanax for people who have panic attacks or PTSD.

XANAX IS QUICK AND ACTIVE FOR SOMEONE HAVING A PANIC ATTACK. THE KLONOPIN comes in extended release, I've been on both and I don't like Klonopin becausecof the time release and Xanax works in 15 minutes. Klonopin takes an hour to take effect.

Even though they have the same active ingredients, the inactive ingredients from the different manufacturers can have an effect on absorption, which may account for the differences you feel between the two.

Thank goodness they have a few people here in The internet land of "ask random strangers" for medical info on our recreational candy. This is great forum but people please use ur brain... a hot dog with mayo and ketchup will fill u up and done, but order a chilli dog with jalapeno cheese and hot sauce from the restaurant a block down, and the end result will be similar but hmmm maybe more intense and with differences! Manufactures don't change the part that works... But different ingredients cause differences! Still a hot dog ... weiner still there... duh but the other ingredients change quite a bit about the experience!!! How is that not common sense?

People that are saying that it is all in your mind and think they are so intelligent, think twice before writing the wrong information and confusing people. Everybody reacts to medications differently. We are not all going to react the same way, so saying that one is better than the other over all is not true. Maybe for that one person but the next person will experience the anxiety medicine differently. The reason why some people may feel the white pill faster but maybe might not feel like it lasts as long as the yellow or green xanax and the yellow and green pill feels like it takes longer to kick in but may feel like it lasts longer to start taking effect, Or vise versa; is because different manufacturers' products work differently than each of their competitors. Yes it is true that no matter what color the xanax bar is white, yellow, or green, they are all 2 mgs.
I have had my doctor switch generic brands to brand names then back to a different generic brand than the first script is because the chemical make up is slightly different. My doctor will right on the script for a certain brand whether it is Ativavas or any other brand. The part that's in your head is when you start listening to people making up stuff to get you to believe you want to buy theirs because they have the best brand. Have you ever heard a dealer say that their white ones are weaker than the green and yellow ones? No because they are worried about making their profit. Same thing goes with pharmaceutical companies. They want you to purchase their brand of the drug to make their money! :-)

I've been taking the white 2mgs twice a day then got my script filled at Walmart and got the yellow 2mgs - I can tell a difference I just don't know why. Should I just ask the pharmacist I never thought the strength of white or yellow would be different bc of color...

You felt a difference between the two colors? I've been on xanax for 10 years and I thought it was just me but the white and green bars hit me the same but the yellow ones take longer to hit me and they don't last that long. Is it just me or has anyone felt differences? They're all 2mg XANAX just different manufacturing and colors?

Its all in your head. You believe that because some uneducated person told you one is stronger then the other. There is completely no difference in the two. the only difference is a different manufacture, they both have exactly 100% they same ingredient. one manufacture may use a different dye or fillers that's it. That's not completely true. I have a family member that works for one of the manufacturers. Yes, they all have the same amount of alprazolam in them. However, the different fillers have slightly different chemical reactions and breakdowns with the alprazolam.

The correct answer is the yellow are instant release so you feel then right away compared to say the green are time or extended release which means you won't really feel them but they are in your system... In my opinion the yellow are by far the best but the white ones with the Xanax brand are also very good but if you have bad panic attacks that come from no where go with the yellow they hit you right away. The green bars such I've never cared for then or felt then...

Put a blindfold on have someone give you a different bar and you will not tell the difference from yellow or white trust me I've tried it since 1997 even though real bars I can't tell there is no difference. Only in the time it takes to hit you even the real Xanax bars I could not tell the difference between generic or the brand now you have to obviously have someone give you the pills so you can't feel it or touch it so that way you will know it's the same no matter what one you think you picked try it you will see

I've been taking #4-6 two (2) mg bars for over 20 yrs. I always thought the yellow were stronger than the white ones, but anymore I can't tell any difference. I've done extensive research on it & honestly there is NO difference in the effect, only the color & the manufacturer it's made by. I've also noticed that there's 2 or 3 white bars out on the market. The ones that kinda look like a mini skateboard are the best of the white ones. But if your insistant on the yellow one's, just call the pharmacy & ask if they have the yellow one's made by "PURPAC." Hope this helps...

Well Activis bought purpac, but it wouldn't be wise to call Walgreens and ask if the have purpac, most pharmacies now just tell you to bring the script in. Since there have been a lot of robberies at the pharmacy, majority of the pharmacist will tell you were not allowed to give out that information over the phone. And there is no strongest 2mg Xanax bar. It's all mental, I bet if I blind folded you and gave you a xanax you be able to tell me the manufacturer and color, unless it was the green ones because they have a hint of a mint taste when you bite into your pills. I always bit into my pills. And the only time released are the Xanax XR, I've been popping Xanax 2mg for over 15 years. And yes there are fake xanies out there because idiots order them from the internet, and no telling what the Chinese have put in those pills, that's why I bite mine, but I'm legally prescribe, so I don't have to worry about the black market!!!

The brand name xanax tablets either bars footballs whatever have 99% of the active ingredient while the generic only have to have at least 80% the active ingredient. So ur definetly right unless ur lucky enough to get the brand name

Yellow Bars are NOT "PUREPAC" now they are ACTIVAS. I just filled my script and picked up at pharmacy and asked who the maker was and she said ACTIVAS. Then I saw it printed on the bottle as well. They are ROCK HARD and I needed to take 2 bc they filled with fillers. Basically taste like fn chalk. Now I'm fcked for 30 days WTF!!! I'm definitely going back on Sandoz next month.

All in head. I'm prescribed 90# 2mg xanax since 1997. PTSD, panic.
I had real xanax brand, greenstone white(made by upjohn who makes the real bars.)
And yellows by actavis.
For a week I had tried and failed to guess which was taken of the 3.
They all are same unless fake. No difference. Only difference you may tell is when you first switch to a different brand of Xanax it may feel different only because the real may be faster but after a few days your body gets used to that brand so it's all in your head.

I was going to say that, but you said it better.
I've taken both white and yellow.
I didn't notice a difference until I started reading that the white ones are weaker.
And being Obsessive, of course I had to check that out.
I thought for sure the white ones were weaker.
IN MY HEAD?
The reason I know that, I mixed yellow & white & when I grabbed one from he bottle I didn't look. Nothing but calming down anxiety happened.
