What is the best time of day to take my dose of polyethylene glycol and does it matter if I take it?

I think if it use at morning, you can drink water & juices along day working without fear of voiding . Because peg absorb water in the intestine and does not allow water to enter blood and excrete by urine. And if you use it at early morning before breakfast; you have a good bowel movement and defecation, so be comfort during day working.
It is probably a good idea to separate the Polyethylene Glycol and the water pill. Is this a one time thing or is it going to be a frequent dosing? If this is a one time thing then I would ask your doctor if you could skip the water pill the day you take the Polyethylene Glycol because it will throw your electrolytes of balance if you take them together as you could become dehydrated in the process. You should probably take the Polyethylene Glycol in the morning so you are not up all night unless of course you are a night person in that case it really wouldn't matter. There is no absolute time you have to take it unless your doctor has told you to take it for a test then follow the doctors orders so that the tests comes out o.k. Hope this helps some, marjorie zych
Marjorie, Thank you for your feedback, I kinda thought this was the way to deal with this but was not sure and I forgot to ask my Dr.. You have been a big help. Thanks again.

Your welcome, anytime. Good luck.
I take my Polyethylene Glycol at night. I find it works better in a cup of hot tea, then with water or juice. Right now my routine is a tsp of Metamucil in the am, then one when I get home from work in the evening, then my Polyethylene Glycol around 8 or 9 pm. Like everything good, it does stop working on me after a while and I have to stop using it for a month or two in order for it to work again.
