I have SIBO. My Gastroenterologist told me to take this daily with no restrictions on the length of time. I take it in coffee almost every Am for 3 years now with no side effects or ill effects.
I need more information. Are you an adult or child? Are you taking it for chronic (ongoing) constipation or one off constipation or are you wanting to clean out your bowel before surgery?
I am an adult age 74, chronic. I am looking for safe ongoing relief until I achieve regularity.
You could take polyethylene glycol up to three times a day for up to two weeks. It is important that you also drink a glass of water with each dose.
Check with your pharmacist that these dose directions are suitable depending on the brand of polyethylene glycol you have.
