is Buspirone like taking xanax?
they are in the same family because they both deal with anxiety
Buspirone (BuSpar) is in the same antianxiety family as Xanax, but the difference is it's not in the benzodiazepine family which Xanax belongs to.

Buspirone is used to treat symptoms of anxiety, such as fear, tension, irritability, dizziness, pounding heartbeat, and other physical symptoms.
