My dosage has been increased from 150mg to 300mg. Once I take the dose in the morning, I have to take a nap soon after. Has anyone else experienced this? From what I've read, it generally has the opposite effect.

Hi, deedeetoo!
It's true that Wellbutrin is energizing for some people but about 20% of users may experience drowsiness/sedation.
It's a side effect of the increase in your dosage... and you doubled your dose... but it should be temporary. If it persists you'll want to let your doctor know.
Hey there WildcatVet! Thank you for the prompt reply. Actually, I have been taking 150mg in the morning and 150mg in the evening for approximately 3 weeks and I didn't experience this amount of drowsiness. But my doctor suggested taking a full 300mg in the morning to see how I react to the change and ultimately switch me to one 300mg tablet. And this is where I'm noticing this need of having to sleep. I'm going to give it a little more time and see how my body adjusts and upon our next appointment, we will make the necessary changes. Thanks again!
