My daughter is on Vivitrol but she came home today and something isn't right. Is there a drug that Vivitrol does not work on?
Does Vivitrol work on all drugs?

Vivitrol only blocks the receptors of the brain associated with alcohol and opioid use. Any other substance: Marijuana, Benzodiazepines, Amphetamines, Methamphetamine, etc. will not have a reduced or eliminated effect from use.
I am a MD and I prescribed Vivitrol to a patient who had alcohol problems. It actually caused worse problems down the road as they used cocaine and the Vivitrol did not block that. So before considering taking Vivitrol I recommend counseling and group sessions with a inpatient rehab or attend AA (Alcohol Anonymous) or NA (Narcotics Anonymous) meetings.
