I took viibryd for three weeks I stopped taking it for two days.i had nightmares all night ..I stopped taking it because I lost interest in sex.and that's one side effect I can't tolerate.
Yes. I can miss one dose with no problem, but it hits me on the second day I miss; lethargy, depression, vivid dreams, etc. Then going back on Viibryd is like being whacked with a mallet! After a day or two things are back to normal. Unfortunately, the only thing that helped me was going back on the medication! But yes, missing a dose can, and will, make you feel awful!
YES. I have had few worse experiences in life than missing a dose of Viibryd. I simply could not have gotten through the day. I tend to metabolize medication rapidly. The half life of Viibryd is 24 hrs but I was usually feeling bad by 16-18 hrs. My Dr had me take 20 mg at night for this reason.
Sadly, this is the ultimate reason I chose to discontinue Viibryd, because I think it's an excellent anti depressant for some people. I could not live the rest of my life on a med on which I was SO dependent that I got very, very sick if I missed my dose or took it late. I was fearful traveling, always had to have it with me when I left the house etc. To summarize, it's important to take your Viibryd dose at the same time in the morning, with food and keep a tablet with you in case you were to forget your med one day. Best of luck to you.
Yes! I forgot to take it one morning last week. I drove home (20 minutes) because I knew Id start feeling awful if I waited till after work.
Stick a dose in your purse for things like that.
Thanks! That's a great idea!!
