I think if you open it its powder. I'm not sure, its been a long time since I've done it. You can try that, as long as you're giving it right away. If its not powder you can dissolve it in water. It may not be as easy to give it this way as the liquid would have been but if its all you've got you've got to try it. Its been my experience with capsules that when you empty them into water, the powder doesn't always dissolve right, it just suspends and you have to keep rinsing both the cup you've dissolved it in and the syringe you're using to give it, frequently.
