My PC prescribed valsartan 40mg as a treatment to lower my high cholesterol issue. I've been on it now for 16 months, and not much is happening as far as I can tell. PC doctor said it's working fine. It's not that I don't trust what he diagnoses; but, I don't have high blood pressure either.
Does Valsartan also treat high cholesterol?

Answers
Hi, Mizbattle!
Do you have regular blood work done to evaluate your cholesterol levels and at the same time have your blood pressure checked?
" In addition to the marked decrease in blood pressure, valsartan significantly reduces total and LDL cholesterol levels and is neutral on glucose metabolism."
