Hello NESAM
Valsartan is very similar to an ACE Inhibitor (AI) and can be used as an alternative to a AI.Valsertan is an angiotensin II receptor antagonists. Basically they block (antagonists) a chemical (which help blood vessel to contact) from getting to there destination.
I hope this helps- Emeraldgirl (formally CMP_FM)
Thank you for the answer.
Your most welcome.
Ps. Noticed after I responded to your question that you have hypertension.Well Because the blood vessels don't contract they dilate (creating wider holes so to speck),thus lowering your blood pressure.
