Trulance - How long does it take to have a bowel movement after taking first dose?

Unfortunately the answer is different for everyone. For me it worked probably 6 or so hours after taking it the first time but after that it took longer and it pretty much quit working after like a week of taking it. I kept taking it along with daily fiber pills and I'd also take Miralax a few days a week and I was lucky if I went to the bathroom once a week so now I'm trying Linzess and I'm going through the same thing. I going to ask my doctor to up the dosage. I know there are people who have had success with it though so good luck!

I've been taking Trulance for 2 weeks. It now is making me use restroom 1 to 2 times a day now.

Well, it did not work for me until morning of the 9th day. Than quit working all together.
Those others say it works soon after each dose is taken.
